Care Instructions:
The Canada Pooch Weighted Calming Vest is easy to put on and take off with velcro closures around the chest and belly. Ensure both are secured and snug for optimal fit. It is important to create a positive association with the calming vest by slowly introducing your dog to this product in a calm environment. To help create a calm environment, consider laying the product across their body to get them used to the vest before securing the closures, encouraging them with treats, or playing calm music. Do not leave your dog unattended when using this product.
Sizing Recommendation:
Follow the size guide. Ensure the weight rests comfortably on your dog’s shoulders. In larger sizes, a snap is included to safely secure the weight in the correct position. The weight on your dog’s shoulders should not exceed 3% of your dog’s body weight. The ideal fit should be snug around the dog’s torso. If your dog is in between sizes or fits multiple sizes, we recommend sizing down for their comfort and well-being.
